چکیده

In the literature, mainly particle-size distribution (PSD) analyses in soil catenas, of e.g., moraine and riverine landscapes were discussed. Analysis comparison PSD (ML) ice-dammed lakes (ID-LL) not studied. Since landscape origin has diversified relief is under intensive agricultural use, aspects erosion are great importance. The changes studied 14 catenas (toposequences) eroding soils at upper slope (US) as well colluvial middle (MS) lower (LS) slopes depressions (D). fine fractions (<2 mm) was analysed according to hydrometer method. order describe effect use on variability surface horizons, sedimentological granulometric indices calculated. landscape, content coarse silt fraction increasing catenal sequence from 9.7% US 17.7% D. Similar relationships revealed for content. Significant differences found between average contents LS However, such a relation catena lake landscape. Eroded materials very poorly sorted with standard deviation index 2.65–3.69. Humus horizons had fine, skewed PSD, mesokurtic platykurtic (ML), symmetrical, (I-DLL). cluster analysis enabled separation two groups soils: one group other similar only among within type

multifractal characteristics of soil particle size distribution and effect of biological soil crusts on multifractal spectrum

soil particle-size distribution (psd) is one of the most important physical attributes due to its great influence on soil physical, chemical, and biological properties. water infiltration rate, land-use change, soil erosion, and biological soil crusts (bscs) may influence psd in a soil. the multifractal measures were useful tools in characterization of psd in soils. the objective of the current...

The study of particle size distribution of calcium carbonate and its effects on some soil properties in khuzestan province

ABSTRACT-This experiment was carried out to study particle size distribution (PSD) of carbonates in soils and its effect on some calcareous soil properties in Khuzestan Province, Iran. Soil samples (n=72) were collected from different regions. To evaluate the effect of carbonates on water contents at pressure head of -1500kpa and PSD of soil samples, these properties were determined before and ...
